Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading projects focused on maintaining and enhancing structures across the county
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality services through effective project management
  • Coordinating and overseeing the design, assessment, and inspection of bridges and other structures
  • Collaborating with a team of professionals to leverage specialist resources and expertise
  • Driving compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promoting high standards
  • Engaging with stakeholders and colleagues to keep them informed of project progress
  • Participating in the design and construction of major new structures to enhance the transport network
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in structural and bridge engineering
  • Significant understanding of Health and Safety legislation and its application in projects
  • Experience in the development, assessment, and inspection of highway structures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively
  • Passion for projects that positively impact local communities
  • Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
  • Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
