Key Responsibilities:
- Leading projects focused on maintaining and enhancing structures across the county
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality services through effective project management
- Coordinating and overseeing the design, assessment, and inspection of bridges and other structures
- Collaborating with a team of professionals to leverage specialist resources and expertise
- Driving compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promoting high standards
- Engaging with stakeholders and colleagues to keep them informed of project progress
- Participating in the design and construction of major new structures to enhance the transport network
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team
Job Requirements:
- Experience in structural and bridge engineering
- Significant understanding of Health and Safety legislation and its application in projects
- Experience in the development, assessment, and inspection of highway structures
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively
- Passion for projects that positively impact local communities
- Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
- Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
