AMLR is proud to be working in partnership with a leading subcontract engineering specialist based in Gloucestershire. Operating from a 50,000 sq. ft. facility, the company delivers high-precision CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, laser cutting, and large welded fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear, and technology sectors. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they support both bespoke one-off projects and high-volume production.

They are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and time-served CNC Miller Programmer to join their experienced team.

Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of the sectors our client supplies to, all applicants must be UK residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5-axis CNC milling
  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines
  • Tool changes, program proving, and G-code familiarity
  • Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  • Routine maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure performance and longevity
  • Use of hand tools for assembly and adjustment of components
  • Working collaboratively with the engineering team to troubleshoot and improve processes
  • Efficient handling and storage of materials within the workshop/warehouse environment
  • Accurate documentation of machine settings and programme changes

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completed Apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ CNC machining experience
