We're looking for full-time and part-time Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistants to join our partnered school part of the Cabot Learning Federation Trust in the Brockworth area. You will be working with pupils aged 11-16 who need consistent, compassionate support to succeed in their education.



About the Role

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you'll work closely with students who may struggle to engage with learning due to behavioural or emotional challenges. You'll be part of a supportive team helping to create a safe, structured environment where pupils can build trust, develop resilience, and grow in confidence.



What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties, both in and out of the classroom
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and understood
  • Helping students regulate emotions and develop coping strategies
  • Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support plans
  • Using a trauma-informed approach to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Supporting outreach activities and off-site learning when needed


Who We're Looking For

You don't need to be a qualified teacher, but you do need to be someone who's:

  • Experienced in working with children or young people with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Calm, patient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Resilient and ready to adapt to changing situations
  • A good communicator with a nurturing, consistent approach
  • Able to drive and willing to obtain business insurance for outreach work
