We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team as a Care Team Leader in our high-quality residential care home in Thornbury, specialising in elderly care and dementia support.

The Role:

As Care Team Leader, you will take responsibility for leading care staff on shift, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care. You'll be a key part of the team, working closely with senior management to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents.

Key duties include:

  • Leading and supervising the care team during your shift

  • Overseeing daily care delivery and ensuring high standards are consistently met

  • Supporting with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews

  • Administering and managing medication in line with best practice

  • Providing hands-on care and leading by example

  • Acting as a point of contact for residents, families and visiting professionals

  • Promoting independence, dignity and choice in all aspects of care

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant, Team Leader, or equivalent role

  • Experience working in a residential care or dementia care environment

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification)

  • Confident supervising staff and managing care delivery

  • Medication administration experience

  • Excellent communication, teamwork and decision-making skills

  • A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to care
