Are you passionate about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as SEND Teaching Assistants, working with pupils aged 11-16 who require additional support to thrive in their education.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. You'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special education needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Help pupils build trust and develop meaningful relationships.
  • Support students both in the classroom and during outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective support strategies are in place.
  • Inspire and mentor young people to help them reach their full potential.

  • Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Someone who has overcome personal challenges and can relate to pupils on a deeper level.

  • Able to drive and willing to obtain business insurance for outreach activities.
