IT OPERATIONS MANAGER:

Directly Responsible For: The management and operational functionality of the school’s IT provision, department and team, maintaining a reliable and efficient IT service for staff and students of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Leadership Team to create a medium- and long-term IT strategy and develop an IT School Development Plan to support growth across all areas.
  • Design and implement a technical strategy and system infrastructure that supports current IT needs and aligns with future goals outlined in the medium- and long-term IT strategies.
  • Control the IT budget in line with plans and IT strategies and in liaison with the leadership team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work flexibly, sometimes outside of regular core hours, to ensure that continuity of IT services are maintained.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical key stakeholders.
  • Ability to adjust working practices to accommodate changes and needs.
  • Ability to track assess new technologies and make recommendations on how they should be added. (where appropriate)
