- Handle a mixed caseload of complex planning and highways law.
- Deputise for the Principal Lawyer and Legal Services Business Partner and supervise a group of lawyers.
- Play an active role in developing and delivering training to client officers and members of the Council and provide advice bulletins and guidance notes.
- To identify income opportunities for the future benefit of the service.
- A qualified solicitor, legal executive or barrister with 3+ years of PQE in Planning and Highways law.
- Have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor a team of lawyers.
- Experience of working in the public sector is not necessary but would be advantageous.
- Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
- Hybrid working – largely remote but there would be an expectation to attend the office when required.
