Position: permanent

Salary: £37125 inclusive of shift allowance

Location: Gloucester

Working hours: Position is double days, Mon-Thurs 06:14:00/14:00-22:00 Fri 06:11:30/11:30:17:00

We are now seeking to recruit manual machinist to work for a manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The appropriate manual machinist would have previous experience in conventional milling or turning.  

Responsibilities:

Manual Machining – Milling or Turning

Eccentric turning

Experienced in working with cylindrical components

Understanding engineering drawings and ability to work out angles and dimensions

Experience with inspections equipment such as, callipers, micrometres (all types), gauges, DTI’s

Requirements:

Proven experience as a manual machinist in a precision engineering environment

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good communication and teamwork skills

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not essential)

CNC experience (preferred but not essential)
