Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, and optimising resource allocation. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with various departments including manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain to ensure alignment on production goals.
  • Utilise ERP systems, particularly SAP, to track production progress and manage scheduling changes effectively.
  • Implement process improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Monitor assembly processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular reviews of scheduling processes and recommend enhancements based on performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production schedules, changes, and any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with SAP and other ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management and quality control practices.
  • A background in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
