Payroll & Accounts Assistant required for city centre business, GL1, paying up to 27500.
Working week Monday to Friday 35 hours per week
Our client is a small independent business based in Gloucester and they are looking for an additional person to join their accounts team. The role will involve not only processing weekly payroll but also assisting the Financial Controller with monthly management reporting.
As Payroll & Accounts Assistant for our client the type of duties you will be undertaking are as follows:
- collating and entering weekly payroll data
- processing BACS payments
- creating pension enrolment and contributions reports for submission to NEST
- processing weekly invoices
- creating Global Profit reports from their payroll software
- populating spreadsheets to enable reports to be produced for the senior management team
- reconciling PAYE and NIC payments against HMRC statement
- completing Earning Enquiries from DWP and CMS
The main skills you will possess to take you to interview with our client are the following:
- proven payroll processing experience
- confident in the use of IT systems, especially Excel
- good written and verbal communication skills
- knowledge of statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SSP)
- ability to work as part of a small team
