Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to join South Gloucestershire Council.

  • Temporary until November
  • Based in Yate
  • £13.47 per hour, PAYE
  • Working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • This role is HYBRID... you would be mostly work from home, however you will be required to go into the office every couple of weeks for meetings - therefore you must live within a commutable distance

The Council is seeking a proactive and well-organised Administrator to join our team in a recruitment-focused role. This position plays a key part in supporting recruitment operations, and the Council are looking for someone who is both process-driven and adaptable to change.

Key skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A customer-focused approach

  • Confident problem-solving and active listening skills.

  • Comfortable following established processes while also contributing ideas for continuous improvement.

  • Recruitment experience would be a benefit, but not essential.

Duties include:

  • Conduct comprehensive reference checks for prospective candidates, ensuring that all information gathered is accurate, relevant, and aligns with the Council's employment standards. This includes liaising with previous employers, verifying employment history, and documenting findings in a clear and compliant manner.
  • Manage and process all compliance-related checks as part of the recruitment and onboarding process. This may include right-to-work documentation, DBS checks, qualification verifications, and ensuring that all mandatory pre-employment requirements are met in line with statutory and internal policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment process. This involves responding to queries via email and phone, providing updates in a timely manner, and ensuring that all communication reflects a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
