Academics Ltd is partnering with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Gloucester to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. In this role, you'll work closely with individual pupils who have complex needs, providing consistent, personalised support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 support to students with complex SEN
  • Support pupils' engagement with learning and daily school life
  • Build strong, positive relationships based on trust and understanding

  • Remain calm, patient, and confident when supporting challenging behaviour

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential)

  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
