Are you a psychology graduate looking for your first step into mental health?

A lovely school in Yate is looking for a mental health assistant to join their team ASAP. They are seeking a Mental Health Assistant who is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. In this role, you will be valued as part of a vital team and will receive support throughout your time there.

The school is looking for a who is resilient and patient Mental Health Assistant to support pupils with SEMH.

There is also a role supporting a lovely Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD, who is part of a small group with complex needs.

Mental Health Assistant - Responsibilities

  • Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
  • Helping children with their understanding of the teacher's instructions.
  • Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or working with individuals or small groups in the Learning Support department.
  • Keeping track and recording pupil progress.
