Due to continued growth our accounting practice client is actively seeking a Client Manager to join their office in Godalming.

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for growth of the portfolio, strategic advice, contribute to continuous improvement and service delivery.

You are responsible for guiding, empowering and developing your team to deliver the very best services and work to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service and Retention - Taking ownership of client relationships by personally conducting service review conversations across your team’s portfolio. Your focus is on maximising client retention, identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience, and driving continuous improvement. As the custodian of production quality within your team, you are accountable for ensuring that all outputs meet our high standards of excellence.

Tax Planning and Advisory - This will include our wide range of services including our FD service and effective tax planning as well as ensuring all practice production, deadlines and quality / compliance standards are met.

Leadership - leading your team, nurturing growth and helping them be the best they can be. Actively managing and monitoring the financial performance of your team and their portfolio to ensure achievement of targets that support the wider business goals.

Strategic insight - You will play a key role in informing and supporting the wider team as we work towards achieving our organisation objectives. This includes providing clear, data-driven updates on the financial performance, client service, growth, business development, and resource capacity of your team and portfolio. You will actively seek out opportunities for improvement and contribute forward-thinking ideas to help drive the future direction of the firm.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven senior leadership and management experience within a UK accountancy practice

  • Proven experience of helping clients’ businesses to grow and growing a portfolio

  • Demonstrates a service mindset with focus on developing and nurturing positive client relationships

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified

  • Experience of working in a UK Accounting Practice at a similar level

  • High levels of commercial acumen and able to inspire the team to think the same

  • Knowledge of Xero and/or the ability to adapt to use latest software technologies

  • Build knowledge about the needs of clients and the future of our industry so we can stay ahead of the curve

Salary Expectation:

Full-time, Permanent

£50,000 - £60,000 per year dependent on experience

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Hybrid and Office Based.
