HR Administrator

Location: Godalming, Surrey

Our client’s school is beautiful and a wonderful place to live and work. It was founded in 1611 and moved to its present magnificent 250-acre site near Godalming in Surrey in 1872. Few schools can offer such a splendid backdrop for teaching and learning, and the school community is very strong, with excellent relationships between pupils and staff.

The Role

The HR administrator will require an excellent level of organisation, discretion and attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively alongside an extended diversity of people. Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record or the potential for achievement in:

  • Problem-solving - analysing the task to be undertaken, together with reviewing and evaluating the outcomes.
  • Working with others to achieve goals by negotiating and allocating tasks
  • Working in an administrative capacity, ideally having had, or with an empathy for, working in a regulated environment

Personal Competencies / Skills:

  • Sensitive to confidential information with the ability to use absolute discretion
  • Proactivity, empathy and the ability to form strong relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to use initiative and make positive contributions to the life/work of a busy department
  • High levels of literacy, possession of excellent keyboard skills and the ability to use software such as Microsoft Office 356 or equivalent
  • Willingness to learn new platforms and databases
  • Ability to organise and manage time effectively to meet the demands of the week or a specific project
  • Ability to work accurately with sharp attention to detail
  • Flexible in prioritising work, and open to change
