Maintenance Engineer

Goole

£54,000 per annum (inclusive of basic, shift & disturbance allowance) + overtime + excellent benefits

Rotating Shift Pattern Shift Pattern

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 6am to 6pm

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday – 6am to 6pm | Wednesday, Thursday – 6pm to 6am

Week 3: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – 6pm to 6am

Followed by 7 full days off

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a major UK manufacturer at our modern production facility in Goole. This role has become available due to an internal promotion, offering the chance to play a key part in an ambitious period of growth and significant investment in manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

  • Proactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment, services, and utilities
  • Reactive breakdown support to minimise downtime
  • Contributing to continual improvement and lean manufacturing projects
  • Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
  • Supporting site-wide engineering initiatives during a period of major investment

Experience/Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualifications with proven manufacturing/industrial experience
  • Strong experience maintaining multi-axis (CNC) manufacturing machinery and extraction plants
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment
  • Fault finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC, Pilz Safety PLC – highly desirable
  • Experience in woodworking manufacturing plant and PUWER – desirable
