We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading residential children's care provider, forResidential Therapeutic Care Workers and Team Leadersto join their dedicated team in Goole. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children, working in a therapeutic care setting.

About the Role:

As a Residential Therapeutic Care Worker, youll be part of a compassionate and supportive team, working closely to provide high-quality care to children in a residential setting. Every day is varied, offering you the chance to engage with children and help meet their individual needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support within a homely environment.
  • Assisting with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, homework, and driving children to school.
  • Managing medication and accompanying children to health appointments.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to update care plans, conduct risk assessments, and complete thorough handovers.
  • Planning and delivering activities and events tailored to each childs interests, whether its a birthday celebration or an exciting day out.

Our client understands that children can sometimes become emotionally dysregulated, and youll be provided with all the necessary training, including Team Teach behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. Additionally, youll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce, alongside in-house therapeutic training from the clinical team.

About You:

Our client is looking for individuals with a genuine passion for working with children and young people. You should have a caring and flexible approach, with the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in residential care is a bonus, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Please note, for the Team leader roles it is a requirement to have aLevel 3/4 qualification in Residential children's care or equivalent.
