Embark on an electrifying journey with Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services! Our client is igniting a brand-new Rail Industry Hub just outside Goole and need a dynamic Purchasing Operative like you to join the launch team.

Picture this: you'll play a vital role in assembling nearly 50 cutting-edge trains destined for the iconic Piccadilly line on the London Underground. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to be part of building the future of transportation! We're seeking skilled individuals to join this state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility on a temp-to-perm basis.

As our Purchasing Operative, you'll be the maestro of material flow, ensuring a cost-efficient and precisely timed supply of everything we need to bring these incredible trains to life. Get ready to make a real impact!

What you'll be doing:

  • You will form part of a team responsible for successfully processing purchase requests and then ensuring the on-time arrival of material on site

  • You will engage with various other parties (both internal and external) in the supply chain to improve the flow of material, communicating or raising concerns as appropriate

  • You will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable analysing data and be able to relay and receive information from a variety of sources

What we're looking for:

  • A strong working knowledge of the material purchasing process, from purchase order to product delivery

  • Data analysis and I.T. skills, with SAP / Excel knowledge advantageous

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with an eye for detail

The following skills will be beneficial but not essential:

  • Purchasing material in the Rail industry

  • Monitoring supplier performance using appropriate tools and techniques

  • International supply chains
