Vehicle Delivery & Collection Driver - Blue Arrow
Salary: circa 30K per annum
Location: Midlothian
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Operational between Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm Saturday, 8:00am - 12:00pm ( you will work a maximum of 48 hours per week including every 2nd Saturday, the option is available to work a 35 hour week but salary will reflect that)
Are you an experienced driver with excellent organisational skills? Blue Arrow is recruiting Vehicle Delivery & Collection Drivers to join our client's team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the road, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery vehicle checks and complete QC sheets accurately
- Perform boot-to-boot checks with clients during handovers
- Obtain correct details and signatures on collections
- Communicate effectively with rental staff while on the road
- Manage branch expectations and liaise with clients professionally
- Complete fuel receipts and driver logs daily
- Capture and send clear, ordered pictures for every delivery/collection
- Report ETA updates and any issues promptly
- Check driving licences on delivery where required
- Assist with additional duties such as valeting or garage cleaning when needed
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 4 points)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in the rental industry (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection and damage assessment processes
