The role:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Edinburgh's leading casual dining Restaurant operators. The position is located in a beautifully appointed venue in the heart of the Edinburgh. Our award winning, quality focused client has been established for many years, and has noted reputational standing in the local marketplace.

Set in an affluent cosmopolitan street of Edinburgh, our clients premises is looking for a passionate Head Chef to lead their quality focused food operations to Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition levels. It is leading a close dedicated Kitchen brigade, producing high level fresh food concepts, in conjunction with the Owners, and General Manager across the main restaurant, of this institutional all-day venue. You will be tasked in delivering high quality breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner services.

The person:

Our passionate foodie client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for an experienced Head Chef talent in the kitchen. Someone who has prior experiences of working to Bib Gourmand Michelin levels, or beyond, and is approachable. You must possess a positive out-going personality, acan-domentality, and lead a settled close-knit team, and evolve their capabilities.

The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of working in a busy Kitchen, cooking with the pick of fresh, seasonal ingredients, specifically with two/three rosette level restaurant experiences, and also experience of high-end culinary accolade delivery. You must be able to demonstrate excellent all-round culinary technical skills. Be able to grow, train, mentor and develop the brigade within this quality focused organisation. Leading them in making memorable food experiences for its customers.

Other qualities that would be attractive to our clients include; kitchen management skills, rota management, training and developing track record of a team, possess sound understanding of kitchen GP%s, costing and wastage management, innovation and creativity.

All Chef applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their technical abilities at interview stages.
