Are you a聽degree qualified HVAC Engineer?
Do you have good all-round technical design experience using British and international standards and Eurocodes.?
Would you be interested in working on an exciting nuclear project?
If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for a HVAC Engineer聽to be based at our clients premises in West Cumbria, with other locations considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing the site based focal point for聽HVAC聽related issues that arise during manufacture, construction and commissioning and liaising with the Responsible Designer where design intent may be affected.
- Reviewing and responding to site generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, commissioning reservations, etc.
- Managing聽HVAC聽instructed change either on site or via the Responsible Designer, as appropriate
- Managing drawing configuration for the聽HVAC聽deliverables through the redline process or through the Responsible Designer
- Interfacing with appropriate Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning and Handover teams
- Maintaining the configured聽HVAC聽design
- Advising Construction on installation methods and constructability
- Participate in constructability design reviews
- Act as custodian of design & engineering documentation on site.
You will have the following qualifications and experience聽
路聽A聽Degree qualified聽HVAC聽Engineer or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding and discipline relevant professional experience.
路聽Proven experience in聽HVAC聽engineering & design.
路聽Good all-round technical design experience using British and international standards and Eurocodes.
路聽Ability to work autonomously and manage your own time and workload to deliver against agreed milestones.
路聽Ability to work effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team liaising directly with team members and the Client.
路聽Good verbal and written communication and technical writing skills.
- UK National (none dual citizen).
- SC Cleared or the ability to obtain Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
- Experience in high hazard industrial / complex project
路聽Experienced using Navisworks
路聽Experience in working in Common Data Environment / Building Information Modelling (BIM)

It's great if you also have the following
路聽Construction site experience
路聽Knowledge of AWE processes and procedures
路聽Glovebox experience
路聽Working in a dynamic regulated environment I.e. nuclear, defence etc
