Management Accountant

Engineering Group based in Gosport, Hampshire, have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team to ensure the timely production of detailed reports and analysis to support the business through growth and increased profitability.What will the Management Accountant role involve?Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the Management Accountant position will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts in a timely manner including the accurate posting of all accruals and prepayments;
• Support annual budgeting process and monthly rolling reforecasting, providing detailed analysis on any variances;
• Analysis and review of overheads providing commentary for senior management;
• Work closely with the Financial Controller with provision of information requests from external auditors;
• Support ad hoc project as and when required including review of internal processes, implementing effective improvements where required.

Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:

• Applicants for the Management Accountant opportunity will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification but candidates reaching the conclusion of their studies will also be considered;
• Advanced Excel will be essential to undertake the role successfully as will a strong, hands-on all round skill set;
• Previous experience of working in a similar position within a fast paced environment will be essential for all candidates as will a demonstrable desire to develop their career and progress within the business.
