The Alverbank is a friendly, family run Events & Wedding venue with a Seaview restaurant over-lookingthebeach!

The Alverbank is a stunning Grade II* listed building built in 1842 with a rich & interesting history, overlooking Stokes Bay Beach. We have six- en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, private dining opportunities and a large banqueting hall & garden. It offers versatility for intimate or larger scale events.

We are looking for someone to join our Kitchen Team who will blend in & enjoy being part of a fabulously fun & enthusiastic Alverbank team.

Your role will consist of:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are consistently followed in the kitchen.
  • Lead the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to maintain a high level of culinary excellence.
  • Manage food production processes & ingredients to optimize efficiency and quality and stock storage.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about fresh food and delivering a great dining experience
  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and sanitation
  • Background in hospitality and customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food production.
