NES Fircroft are currently recruiting a SSOW Coordinator for our client, a major engineering services provider, on a site in Grangemouth Scotland. This is a 3-6 month project working 60hrs per week. Ltd Co options available.

Responsibilities:
  • Issue permits under Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) to nominated personnel under set procedures
  • Supporting HSE related to the Mechanical Construction activities
  • Coordination of all work activities that will take place in a daily Coordination meeting with Mechanical Supervisors.

Experience and Qualifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely or working towards a NEBOSH General certificate
  • Broad knowledge of engineering practices
  • Previous SSOW coordinator / control of work experience
  • Provide evidence of a good working knowledge of process operations and SSOW procedures
  • Ability to maintain accurate, concise, legible records in the SSOW office
  • Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical isolation process & Procedures
  • Previous experience workingin a COMAH Site Environment
  • CDM Compliance
  • Provide evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy and resilience
  • Demonstrable ability to make safe decisions including when under pressure
  • Demonstrable effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
