Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire (NG31)
Pay: 32,916 - 51,048 per annum (Paid to scale)
Contract: Long term to permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: Full time
About the Role
We are recruiting an SEMH Teacher for a specialist school supporting pupils aged 5 to 16. The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils receive personalised teaching and strong emotional support.
Teachers in this setting deliver a mixed curriculum, so you will teach a range of subjects rather than one specialism. Lessons are adapted to meet individual needs and classes are small with high levels of support.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a mixed curriculum
- Adapt teaching to meet the emotional and learning needs of pupils
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
- Create a calm and predictable classroom environment
- Support behaviour using clear routines and consistent strategies
- Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and therapists
- Track pupil progress and contribute to personalised learning plans
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in SEMH, SEND or behaviour support is helpful
- Confident teaching across multiple subjects
- Calm, patient and consistent approach
- Ability to build trust and communicate clearly
- Someone positive, reliable and committed to helping pupils make progress
