Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Long Term Futures is currently recruiting a dynamic and motivated Teaching Assistant for a specialist education provision catering to students aged 4-16 with SEMH requirements. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in sports, coaching, or physical education who wants to contribute positively to young learners' development. The role primarily involves classroom support, but there's flexibility to incorporate sports and physical activities to promote engagement and wellbeing.
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering focused 1:1 and small group interventions to help students access learning and stay motivated.
Using sports and physical activities to promote positive behaviour and teamwork.
Supporting emotional regulation strategies and encouraging self-confidence in students.
Creating a nurturing and secure environment where students feel supported both emotionally and physically.
Collaborating with a skilled team to provide consistent and holistic support.
Applying effective behaviour management techniques tailored to individual student needs.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in sports, PE, or coaching, with a genuine interest in working with children and young people.
Previous involvement with SEN or behavioural support, particularly in an educational or youth work setting.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A resilient, proactive approach and the ability to act as a positive role model.
