HGV Technician

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician (Grantham)

Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire

Pay: £19.50 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week including 30 minutes paid lunch. Alternate weeks Mon to Fri 06:00 to 14:00 and Mon to Fri 14:00 to 22:00. Additional overtime and call out opportunities available.

Immediate vacancies for experienced HGV Technicians to join a busy workshop in Grantham. This is a workshop based role with occasional call out duties. Work on servicing, repairs and diagnostics to keep customer fleets safe compliant and on the road while benefiting from ongoing training and clear development paths.

What you will do

Perform major and minor repairs to HGVs trailers and commercial vehicles

Carry out inspections routine maintenance and preventative servicing

Diagnose faults and plan repairs using diagnostic tools and schematics

Complete job cards service records and warranty paperwork accurately

Maintain workshop cleanliness stock and safety standards

Provide emergency roadside support when called out

What we need from you

• Level 3 NVQ City and Guilds or IMI in HGV vehicle repair and maintenance
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician
• Ability to identify worn and faulty components to DVSA standards
• Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
• Reliable problem solver with a strong team ethic
