As a Production and Planning technician, you will be an integral part of the Production Engineering & Control Team. Your mission? To ensure efficient material allocation and minimise waste while collaborating with Production Supervisors. You'll receive comprehensive training to help you thrive in this role!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating programmes for laser and plasma machines after training.
- Plan and manage material allocation effectively.
- Track material stock and offcut allocation diligently.
- Load and release shop orders into the MRP system.
- Print and collate routing sheets and drawings for the Machine Shop.
- Support team members with general duties to enhance productivity.
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings (basic understanding is essential).
- Proficiency in IT systems, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Understanding of Health & Safety principles in a heavy industrial setting.
