Factory Manager | Sleaford | Permanent | Salary up to £65000 Cherry Professional are delighted to be recruiting for a Factory Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business, take full ownership of the factory's operations, and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and performance.Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing daily factory operations, ensuring production targets are met.
  • Driving quality and food safety, ensuring compliance with BRC and industry standards.
  • Managing health & safety, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team, supporting training and development.
  • Working with the Supply Chain team to ensure smooth and efficient production.
  • Monitoring and improving factory performance metrics, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
  • Working on continuous improvement projects to enhance factory operations.
  • Lead production, maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance teams to deliver high-efficiency, cost-effective operations while meeting strict food safety and quality requirements.
  • Implement and champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve reliability.
  • Manage plant assets through preventive maintenance and reliability programs, ensuring equipment integrity and minimizing downtime.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team, supporting their professional development and fostering a positive work culture built on trust, respect, and open communication.
Ideal Candidate:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety OR NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety
  • The successful candidate shall have proven experience in production planning, operations, and quality control within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP standards and food manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance.
