Our award-winning client based in Grantham is looking for an experienced friendly candidate to join their friendly, focused management team.

The successful manager will Implement and maintain a robust H & S system and compliance focused culture across the company.

Challenge the existing culture and using an operational approach to achieve best practise in Compliance, Safety, Environmental and Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a vehicle Operator License holder ensuring vehicle and driver compliance.
  • Ensure that Drivers comply with traffic legislation, driving hours regulations and Working Time Directives.
  • Devise, develop and deliver relevant training for mechanics and drivers and lead audits on fleet compliance.
  • Create, implement, and develop fleet guides, policies, and driver handbooks.
  • Maintain information for vehicle maintenance, tachograph analysis, driving license checking and vehicle telematics.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and lead internal investigations, non-conformities & disciplinaries.
  • Help the company achieve relevant accreditations Operational Excellence, DVSA Earned Recognition, ISO39001, ISO45001, BRCGS & JAUPT approval.
  • Identify and lead on any Health & Safety initiatives to foster an excellent safety culture within the department.
  • Provide reports and statistical analysis as and when required by the Senior Management Team.

The HS & Compliance Manager needs to have incident investigation, root cause analysis exposure and be a strong people manager.

International CPC and NEBOSH are essential as are excellent written and verbal skills and intermediate IT skills including Word and Excel.
