Accounts Assistant

This is a temp - perm opportunity as we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

  • Location: Gravesend
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17:00 office based
  • £13.50-£14.50 per hour PAYE
  • Term time only working

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing business in the Education Sector. This is a temp-to-perm position, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for someone who aspires to work in the Education sector and is enthusiastic about becoming an integral member of the Accounts team. The successful candidate will support the Finance Director in ensuring the efficient conduct of the financial affairs and the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

The successful candidate will need -

  • Ensuring timely payment runs, and maintaining financial records
  • Overseeing petty cash transactions
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Assist in the efficient conduct of financial affairs.
  • Managing Amazon Business Account
  • Double entry Bookkeeping
  • Accruals/ prepayments
  • Contributing to the overall success of the team

Requirements:

  • Organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills- written and oral
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge and skills in MS Office Suite
  • Able to self-manage and prioritize
  • Enthusiastic and eager to support the growth of the company.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
