IT Support Engineer 1st/2nd Line£30,000 - £35,000 depending upon experience Based out of GravesendPermanent / Monday – Friday 37.5 hour working week

Do you have Experience supporting Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a IT Support Engineer to join the team.We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, Windows Server, and Azure, with a working knowledge of Datto RMM and a solid grounding in cyber security best practices. You will be the first point of contact for end-user support issues while also assisting with escalations and infrastructure-related tasks.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience P/A, plus additional company benefits (20 days holiday, company pension scheme)
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
Main Duties:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for users across desktop, mobile, and infrastructure systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Support and maintain Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
- Assist in managing and supporting Azure cloud services (VMs, Microsoft Intune).
- Implement and support basic cyber security measures including endpoint protection, MFA, and security policies.
- Assist with user onboarding/offboarding, hardware setup, and software deployment.
- Document procedures and maintain IT asset records.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and administration.
- Understanding of cyber security principles and tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, MFA).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP).
