Senior Building Services Engineer (Electrical)


Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week


Role Overview
I am currently seeking a Senior Building Services Engineer for a thriving consultancy to join the team, working across multiple projects. The role involves overseeing design delivery, managing workloads, producing and reviewing technical outputs, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Business Support

  • Provide technical leadership and line management to the team

  • Monitor project budgets, programmes, and resource allocation

  • Identify opportunities for additional fees and new business, liaising with management for approval

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and industry contacts

  • Highlight risks to project delivery and propose effective solutions

Design & Technical Delivery

  • Produce and review schematics, drawings, and details using AutoCAD and Revit

  • Prepare and check engineering calculations in line with UK standards and CDM regulations

  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines

  • Carry out project reviews and technical checks to ensure quality and compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering and industry standards

Client & Consultant Liaison

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and design teams

  • Attend and contribute to meetings, workshops, and design reviews

  • Respond accurately to RFIs, technical submissions, and design queries using approved products
