Our client is an established building services consultancy in Kent and they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead innovative mechanical systems design across residential, commercial, and public sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable, low-carbon developments and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Develop detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC and public health systems, using 3D CAD software.
Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated building services solutions.
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering professional development within the team.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and provide technical expertise
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (BEng, HND, or equivalent).
Proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and engineering analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and sustainability standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
