Year Leader - Gravesend

Full-Time - MPS+TLR- September 2025 Start

Tradewind are recruiting for an experienced Primary Teacher to take on responsibility of a Year Leader at a Primary School in Gravesend. This role is full-time and would be on a temp-to-perm basis. This is for a September start and experienced teachers looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply!

The school is a multi-form entry Primary School in Gravesend, with an Ofsted grading of Good. They have strong school values of "Live life to the Full", "Love each other", and "We always do our best". Behaviour is observed to be excellent and the staff culture for development and inclusion is fantastic. The school has onsite parking.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum with responsibility for Year Leader in KS2
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience as a Class Teacher in KS2 and time as a Year Lead or Phase Leader would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Track record of leading in areas of school improvement or curriculum and student outcomes would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
