Premier Recruitment Group has the privilege to recruit on behalf of our very prestigious client based in Grays, Essex. We are recruiting for experienced LGV Tanker Driver - Class 1. This is full time and permanent position and working for very well established company.
Salary:£36,660 plus annual bonus paid quarterly if certain requirements are met
Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 5am-1pm or 6am-2pm.
LGV Tanker Driver - Class 1 job purpose:
To perform commercial and domestic fuel deliveries using Class 1 or Class 2 HGV vehicles (rigid or articulated tankers), operating under ADR class 3 regulations.
LGV Tanker Driver - Class 1 Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks at the start of each day.
- Comply with manual tachograph entry requirements and all transport legislation.
- Load fuel in accordance with site regulations and procedures.
- Deliver to customer sites accurately, safely, and on time.
- Report any delays or issues promptly to the Transport department.
- Complete delivery documentation and handheld system updates.
- Follow end-of-day protocols and maintain equipment standards.
- Always wear required PPE and adhere to health and safety protocols.
LGV Tanker Driver Person Specification:
Knowledge & Qualifications (Essential):
- Full understanding of tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive.
- Solid knowledge of the Highway Code and Road Traffic Act.
- Strong awareness of health & safety in relation to driving duties.
- Knowledge or experience of fuel tanker operations (training provided).
Skills & Licences (Essential):
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 & 2 Licence.
- ADR Licence - Class 3 (Flammable Liquids) with Tanks.
Experience (Preferable):
- Previous experience in fuel tanker driving
Personal Attributes (Essential):
- Organised and capable of working independently.
- Conscientious, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, professional manner.
- Physically fit - the role is physically demanding.
