Handyman - TO START TOMORROW 

Location: Eurovia New Innovation Centre, Burnley Road, West Thurrock, RM20 3EG

Pay Rate: £19 per hour

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Handyman to join our team. The Handyman will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate is well-organised, has a strong work ethic, and is capable of working independently to ensure facilities are maintained in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, repairing doors and locks, fixing leaky faucets).

• Conduct general repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

• Install fixtures and equipment such as shelves, blinds, ceiling fans, and appliances.

• Diagnose problems and determine the best solution to resolve issues efficiently.

• Respond to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers promptly.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

• Perform safety checks and identify potential issues before they become problems.

• Keep maintenance records and report completed tasks or needed repairs.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and carpentry.

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle manual labor and lift heavy objects.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel between job sites is required).

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC (optional but preferred).

• Experience working in [residential/commercial/multi-unit] properties.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
