WE'RE HIRING: SITE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Location: Site-based is Grays, Essex 

Reports to: Senior Quantity Surveyor |

Direct Reports: Assistant & Trainee QSs

Contract: Full Time | 37.5 hrs/week (Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:30)

Are you an ambitious Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on high-impact construction projects across substructure, steel frame, cladding, MEP, and industrial/office fit-outs? We're expanding our Commercial Surveying team and looking for a Site Quantity Surveyor who's technically sharp, commercially astute, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll be at the heart of multiple live sites, working closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. From managing applications for payment and internal valuations to tracking costs, producing KPIs, and handling subcontractor accounts, you'll be a key player in our project delivery process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing valuations, applications, forecasts, and cashflows
  • Administering all aspects of subcontractor procurement and management
  • Tracking and reporting on progress, materials, site records, and project variations
  • Producing and maintaining accurate cost, performance, and progress documentation
  • Ensuring contractual notifications and compensation events are issued on time
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff on-site

You'll Need to Bring

  • 2 A-Levels and 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), ideally supplemented by a degree or diploma
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite, COINS, Adobe)
  • Proven understanding of site-based construction surveying
  • Familiarity with utilities, external works, fencing, lighting, roads, and civils
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
