Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst

Location: Grays, Essex

Salary/Benefits: 25k - 32k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, who are well known within the region. They are seeking an organised Asbestos Lab Analyst, with a keen eye for detail and sound technical knowledge. You will be conducting bulk analysis of ACM samples, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining the efficiency of the department. Applicants must hold the BOHS P401 and a methodical approach. Salaries on offer are competitive and there are great opportunities for further training and development.

Candidates will need to be commutable to: Grays, Tilbury, Rainham, Barking, Ilford, Romford, Hornchurch, Chigwell, Epping, Chelmsford, Harlow, Wickford, Billericay, Basildon, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, South Woodham Ferrers, Hockley, Southend-on-Sea, Maldon, Witham, Burnham-on-Crouch.

Experience / Qualifications:

Will hold the BOHS P401 qualification
Experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst, within a UKAS accredited company
Strong organisational skills
Excellent IT, literacy and numeracy skills
Able to work both independently and within a team
Proven successful track record

The Role:

Processing incoming ACM samples into the laboratory
Analysing samples to identify the presence and type of asbestos
Using PLM and stereo microscopy methods
Keeping the company database updated with results
Producing certificates and issuing to clients
Participating in quality assurance checks
Working to set deadlines
Maintaining the cleanliness and operation of laboratory equipment
