P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently looking for a Building Control Support on a full-time, temporary basis on-going for a minimum of 5 months and based in Great Yarmouth

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Building Control team to prepare a risk-based strategy for the operation of the service.
  • Prepare a risk register for the Building Control service.
  • Prepare an audit plan and quality management framework for the Building Control service.
  • Develop and refine performance indicators for the Building Control service.
  • Prepare a policy to manage conflicts of interest in the team
  • Prepare a resourcing strategy for the team, including a workforce plan and contingency strategy.
  • Prepare a policy and procedure for the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Prepare a procedure for statutory consultations on casework.
  • Prepare a plan to improve reporting and ensuring data requirements of the BSR can be met.
  • Support the team with other audit, policy and procedure related requirements.

Person Specification:

  • A level/equivalent educated.
  • Experience of developing corporate policy and governance procedures.
  • Experience of corporate risk management.
  • Computer literate with experience of using Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organise own work and work under own initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience of evidence gathering and identifying and analysing issues.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of Building Control.
  • Experience of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
