Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for CNC Machinists/CNC Routers based in the outskirts of Norwich. Own transport is essential due to site location and previous experience required. 

This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC routers to produce parts to specifications
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate machining
  • Select appropriate tools, machine speeds, and feeds for various materials and finishes
  • Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
  • Adjust offsets and modify programs as necessary to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and inspection activities
  • Any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering and CNC router or equivalent relevant workplace experience is essential
  • Ability to operate and set up manual milling/turning and CNC machines
  • Knowledge of CNC program would be an advantage
  • The ability to create CNC files and path to the files
  • Have a working understanding of the principles and tools of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools within a low volume, high quality manufacturing facility
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive, even under tight deadlines and pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Shift pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift hours
