Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a supportive school environment. This role is crucial in helping students with social, emotional, and mental health needs reach their full potential through tailored individual and small group support.

Day-to-day of the role:

Offer targeted support to students with special educational needs, focusing on social, emotional, and mental health aspects.
Assist teachers in the development and execution of lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students.
Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, ensuring all students feel supported and valued.
Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them overcome challenges.
Collaborate with school staff and fellow Learning Support Assistants to promote holistic student achievement.
Help administer assessments and tests, creating a supportive and understanding testing environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role, particularly in environments addressing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Strong ability to connect with students from diverse ages, backgrounds, and learning abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction and support.
Capacity to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.
A deep passion for assisting students with special needs and a dedication to their educational and personal success.
