Our client a reputable law firm based in Beccles, are looking for a dedicated Legal Property Secretary to join their team.

Job Description: The Legal Property Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to their property solicitors, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of residential and commercial property transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and provide updates on the progress of transactions 
  • Document Management: Organize, file, and maintain legal documents and client files, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time 
  • Scheduling: Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings for solicitors 
  • Research: Conduct legal research and assist with the preparation of reports and briefs.

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a legal secretary, preferably in property law 

  • Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures and legal terminology
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team 
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and techniques 

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a law firm 
  • Experience with residential and commercial property transactions
