About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, well organised and diligent individual who is and able to work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail. You will work both as an individual and as part of a small team. You will work on different reports and computer systems and your day will be diverse and varied.
The key duties are:
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
- Perform customer, supplier and nominal account reconciliations and resolve
- discrepancies
- Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax submissions
- Maintain financial records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and management accounts
Requirements
- Highly fluent at using Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIF etc)
- Strong and recent experience in bookkeeping and use of accounting software
- Good understanding of accounting and tax principles and practices
- Excellent written and spoken English
- High level of numeracy
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your workload
