A contractor specialising in steel is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in West London.

Salary: 70,000
Start Date: 2nd September (negotiable)
Work Arrangement: Full-time
Work Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Location: West London, plus visits to sites / meetings across London, travel costs will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities

  • Payment Management: Complete Payment Application and Valuation processes, resolve invoicing issues, and negotiate Final Accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Contract Compliance: Understand and adhere to the scope of work, review contracts, and develop Activity Schedules or BOQs tailored to projects.
  • Reporting: Organise data for Monthly Reporting and enhance cashflow forecasting for accuracy.
  • Supply Chain Management: Facilitate timely payments and engage suppliers to meet project requirements effectively.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the UK construction industry, with a focus on quantity surveying roles.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of JCT contracts and construction law.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, advanced Excel proficiency, and strong analytical abilities.
  • Eligibility: Right to work and live in the UK.
