COIL-SHOP SUPERVISOR

Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Coil Shop Supervisor to work for a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider based in Greenford.

ROLE: Coil Shop Supervisor

PAY RATE: 15.38/hour, circa 32,000/annum

JOB TYPE: temp to perm

LOCATION: Greenford (UB6)

HOURS: Full time, Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, 30 mins unpaid lunch, 40 hours/week.

THE ROLE:

  • Ensure the adoption of workshop "best practice" and that workshop procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for the efficient control of the WIP and progress of individual jobs, from start to completion
  • Stand in for the Engineering Manager in his absence.
  • Identify new opportunities for the development of services.
  • Ensure the implementation of systems and process improvements.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of individual jobs.
  • Ensure the compliance to quality standards and systems.
  • Control safe working practices to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and enforce the following workshop safety rules.
  • Ensure the security of all plant and equipment.



THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Hands on engineering workshop experience, ideally in winding/re-winding coils, both AC & DC
  • Supervisory background preferred
  • Teamwork & positive can-do attitude
  • Possessing an H&S qualification such as IOSH is desirable
  • Knowledge of stores is essential.
