Senior Mechanical Project Engineer --- North Lincolnshire --- Long term contract --- Inside of IR35 --- Life Science manufacturing industry

Our client is starting the process of modifying an old disused manufacturing plant. The projects offer a great variety, ranging from supporting the recovery, re-purposing, and re-use of some existing assets, as well as the design and installation of new assets.

Responsibilities

- Perform the role of mechanical lead
- Produce mechanical engineering design deliverables (including calculations, datasheets, specifications, scopes of work and schedules)
- Contribute to safety reviews, constructability reviews and other risk assessment as appropriate.
- Checking and approval of mechanical deliverables to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
- Reviewing vendor quotations and liaising with equipment and package vendors
- Utility system specification, design, and capacity evaluation
- Checking of piping design documents, including checking isometrics and layout drawings
- Assist in plant layout development

There is some flexibility with this role but my client is looking for people to be in North Lincolnshire at least 3 days per week.

My client is ideally looking for a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer and it is essential to have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in the Life Sciences industries.

There is an excellent rate on offer for the right person.
