Job Description:
Simply Education is looking to recruit caring and motivated Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Grimsby. We work with a range of schools in the area that need flexible, reliable support staff for both day-to-day supply and longer-term roles.
If you're an experienced teaching assistant, someone looking to start a career in education, or you have relevant experience in childcare, care work or youth services, we'd love to speak to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with their learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 classrooms.
- Work alongside the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom behaviour.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed, including with SEN pupils.
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
- A desire to work as a teaching assistant and support primary education.
- Strong communication, patience and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- SEN or behaviour management experience.
