Location: Grimsby
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Development professional to join one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, a business known for exceptional product quality, strong customer partnerships and a culture that champions development, growth and innovation.
As Process Development Manager, you’ll lead concept-to-launch activity for major UK retailers and foodservice customers, shaping market-leading ranges and bringing innovative ideas to life. Working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers, you’ll ensure products are delivered to the highest standards while supporting the wider category vision.
What You’ll Be Doing
•    Lead customer product development projects from concept through to launch, following the stage-gate process
•    Build strong relationships with retail and foodservice customer developers
•    Deliver engaging customer presentations and champion innovation in process development
•    Collaborate with category and insight teams to identify trends, opportunities and innovation platforms
•    Manage NPD budgets and track spend against business targets
•    Work cross-functionally to improve product performance, optimise costs and drive continuous improvement
•    Partner with suppliers on innovation and ensure alignment with procurement plans
•    Conduct market and competitor reviews to translate insights into future product pipelines
•    Manage critical paths to ensure all launches meet quality, time and commercial requirements
•    Support auditing of the stage-gate process and represent NPD in cross-functional meetings
•    Deputise for the Lead NPD Manager when required and represent the business at trade shows and supplier visits

Your Background
•    Proven experience within food manufacturing in a Process Manager or Senior Process Technologist role
•    Experience managing own-label projects for major UK retailers
•    Strong project management skills with hands-on development exposure and commercial focus
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels
•    Solid understanding of factory processes, HACCP, BRC and customer codes of practice
