Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity with a leading regeneration contractor?

Fawkes And Reece have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced freelance or permanent Quantity Surveyor to join a well established and award winning regeneration company based in Grimsby.

This role will be based at my clients Grimsby office but will require regional travel to visit our current projects, meet with clients and attend meetings. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on major contracts within the social housing sector.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • To be involved in negotiation of prices and obtaining quotes for works, materials and plant as required in compliance with company procedure
  • To quality check invoice details from all suppliers, ensuring the company gets value for money on all jobs carried out.
  • To build strong relationships with our customers to ensure open communication and expectations of invoicing is met at all times.
  • To prepare and submit regular and accurate cost/value reports. To manage the commercial aspects of subcontracts in compliance with commercial procedures. Includes obtaining quotations, evaluating tender returns, valuing subcontract works and payments and agreeing subcontract final accounts.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant Degree or Qualifications
  • Experience of managing multiple projects.
  • Proven experience of developing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.
